The Music Student's Lesson Notebook
The Music Student's Lesson Notebook is a new tool for all instrumental teachers to help students organise their practice and track their progress. It is designed to be fill in every lesson the teacher for the student.
It has three main sections-
1- Practice Tracker. This is for the student to fill in. Every time they practice they can put a cross through the box on the date they practiced. This is a really great and quick way of both the student and teacher being able to track practice time as well as progress.
2- Weekly lesson page. There is 52 (one for each week of the year!) double page spreads. The left hand side is manuscript paper so the teacher can write down any little musical notes/exercises cover in the lessons. The right hand side is split into a practice list and notes section for the teacher to fill in so the student knows exactly what to practice and remember for the next lesson.
3- Music I've Learnt section. This is a repertoire list for the teacher to fill in every time the student has compelted a bit of music. This is another great way of tracking progress as well as being very handy if the student ever performs live. They have a list already in place of all the potential music they could perform.
